What Are Standoff Caps?
Posted by Joe P on 5/14/2012 to Standoffs
Standoffs are components used to space media at a predetermined distance from any given mounting surface. Typical applications would include mounting signs vertically on an interior wall, at a distance determined by design criteria and the particular standoff system used. The primary components of the system, are barrels and standoff caps.
Stainless Steel Standoffs
Posted by Bob on 3/12/2012 to Standoffs
Stainless steel standoffs are used to mount sign panels to virtually any wall surface. Also known as signage holders, stainless steel standoffs allow a more modern presentation of any signage, both indoors and out, while their simple design allows quick and easy installation.

They are made from high quality solid stainless steel, and come in a choice of finishes including highly polished or satin brushed. Both finishes offer a modern look with clean lines to offices, lobbies or waiting areas. In fact, most people have seen stainless steel standoffs used in displays in just about every office building.

A standoff system is designed to mount a variety of materials such as sign panels, glass, artwork, and other types of media at a predetermined distance from a wall or other mounting surface. Standoffs are carefully engineered from solid, aircraft-grade aluminum and are available in several lengths and diameters to accommodate a client’s design needs. The production method ensures a quality product focused on safety, but with a keen eye on design and appeal.

You might be wondering when is the best time to use a special standoff when you are doing a new installation, but there are actually many instances when you can use a special standoff and get great results. This means that you can customize your installations when you are trying to have a little bit more space between a lower surface and the top of the object that is going on top of your standoff.
Wall Set Standoffs
Posted by Joe P. on 2/27/2012 to Standoffs
One of the hottest trends in the sign and display field today is the use of wall set standoffs. It is impossible today to walk into an office building without seeing some form of glass signage that is being used in conjunction with a wall set standoff kit. Standoffs typically feature a circular barrel that is affixed to the wall via a wall anchor and screw. They are produced in a variety of heights and diameters to provide for differing applications. The signage substrate sits on top of the barrel and is then secured by means of a cap that screws into the threaded barrel.
