<isc:description><![CDATA[Standoffs are components used to space media at a predetermined distance from any given mounting surface. Typical applications would include mounting signs vertically on an interior wall, at a distance determined by design criteria and the particular standoff system used. The primary components of the system, are barrels and standoff caps.Stainless steel standoffs, and aluminum standoffs are available in various lengths and diameters. The barrels represent the distance between the mounting surface and the sign, and the standoff caps are affixed to the barrel through the sign’s face in order to secure it. Their polished or brushed surface also offer a finishing touch. As an example, a client has decided to us stainless steel standoffs with a diameter of 1-inch. He is mounting a sign on a wall using 4, 1-inch barrels, and 4, 1-inch diameter standoff caps. Aluminum standoffs would work equally as well, but design criteria calls for polished stainless steel for this applicationThe four barrels are mounted to the wall in predetermined locations. The media to be mounted is marked and drilled. It is then affixed to the barrels using the 4, 1-inch diameter standoff caps, thereby securing the sign at a distance of 2.5“ from the wall. Other distances could have applied. Not only are the standoffs functional, but both the barrels and the caps add a finished element to the project.]]></isc:description>

Also known as signage holders, stainless steel standoffs allow a more modern presentation of any signage, both indoors and out, while their simple design allows quick and easy installation. They are made from high quality solid stainless steel, and come in a choice of finishes including highly polished or satin brushed. Both finishes offer a modern look with clean lines to offices, lobbies or waiting areas. Both finishes offer a modern look with clean lines to offices, lobbies or waiting areas. In fact, most people have seen stainless steel standoffs used in displays in just about every office building.Stainless steel standoffs consist of four basic parts, all made with the same high quality stainless steel. These include:• The barrel – this is held into the wall or panel by an anchor and screws are used to keep it in place.• Two washers – these go either side of the material of the signage, one against the wall, the other against the head cap.• Head Cap – this is threaded so that it screws the material into position by passing through the signage, offering a clean finish to the end result. Once in place, they are hand-tightened to finish.Stainless steel standoffs are made in various sizes, including 5 different diameters and 3 different heights, allowing for a variety of different projects. The diameter and height of the standoff allows for a variety of thicknesses to be used with the signage. The diameter ranges from 1/2 to 1, whilst the height comes in 3/4, 1¾ and 2½.For thicker materials, a Hextand head is an extended head for use with the basic line of standoffs. Like the basic line standoffs, it is also made from high quality stainless steel, and has a threaded post.]]></isc:description>

<isc:description><![CDATA[A standoff system is designed to mount a variety of materials such as sign panels, glass, artwork, and other types of media at a predetermined distance from a wall or other mounting surface. Standoffs are carefully engineered from solid, aircraft-grade aluminum and are available in several lengths and diameters to accommodate a client’s design needs. The production method ensures a quality product focused on safety, but with a keen eye on design and appeal.Standoffs essentially consist of two fundamental components: The barrel and the head cap. The barrel, which is available in several lengths, determines the overall offset of the panel being mounted on the wall, or other applicable surface. Once the panel is in place, a cap is threaded onto the barrel in order to secure it in place. The system will make allowances for panels ranging from 3/16“ to 1-1/2“ in thickness. The standoff components are precision machined from quality, solid aluminum and finished with one of several options: clear anodized, black anodized, gold anodized, satin or polished. Barrels are produced in incremental diameters ranging from 3/8“ up to 1-1/2“, and are offered in various lengths to suit the client’s needs. Aluminum standoff systems provide years of reliable service when hanging sign panels, and other decorative media. Barrels are easily mounted to to the receiving wall using screws or speed anchors depending on the application. Caps will then secure the panel in place while providing just the right finished look for any project.]]></isc:description>

<isc:description><![CDATA[You might be wondering when is the best time to use a special standoff when you are doing a new installation, but there are actually many instances when you can use a special standoff and get great results. This means that you can customize your installations when you are trying to have a little bit more space between a lower surface and the top of the object that is going on top of your standoff. If you find that you are going to be doing new installations of items that will cover something or produce a new top on a table or other surface in your home, you can choose special standoffs in different sizes that can give you as much of the distance between the two surfaces as possible. This means that you could create a place to rest documents or just enough space to cover up something that needs to be protected. When you want to have a standoff that looks good with the decor of the rest of the room or the piece of furniture you are attaching it to, you can bring together the decor of your room nicely.]]></isc:description>

It is impossible today to walk into an office building without seeing some form of glass signage that is being used in conjunction with a wall set standoff kit. Wall set standoffs not only work on flat walls, but they are also capable of being used on curved surfaces. Unlike some other hanging options, such as adhesives, that may fail, a wall set standoff provides the piece of mind that comes with a mechanical solution. Standoffs are commonly available in aluminum and stainless steel. If you are a graphic provider or a business looking for a professional looking display, one of your best hanging options will be standoffs.]]></isc:description>

<isc:description><![CDATA[Edge grip standoffs are a great way to make everything you install much more safe and easy to get around in the house. That means that you can put in very nice items in your home that can be protected by the edge grip standoffs. Many times, the edge grips are not made to grip on, necessarily, but they are made of a substance that means they make the sharp edges and corners on your furniture and other items in the house much more safe to walk around. You get to feel as though you can walk normally throughout your home, and you can even protect your kids from the sharp edges that might be dangerous for some people in the home.Purchasing a standoff is a great design element in your home, but an edge grip standoff is perfect for anyone who wants to make their home safer for everyone.]]></isc:description>
